PARAMOUNT, CALIFORNIA (April 27, 2015) – The Zamboni Company has introduced an entirely new series to its line of ice resurfacing machines. The 600 Series makes its debut with the Zamboni Model 650 electric ice resurfacer.

The Model 650 was designed by a team of engineers driven by a global perspective and is a culmination of more than sixty years of experience and industry leadership. The 600 Series brings a bold new look which, though familiar, features a dramatically different aesthetic. The Model 650 retains the best features of the 500 Series machines, while establishing a new standard with its innovative technologies and operational enhancements.

The Model 650 incorporates a chassis with a “clean sheet design” to accommodate high capacity battery options. Next generation brushless AC motors and controls combined with a proven and powerful battery system provide the endurance demanded by the industry’s toughest applications.

Key features of the Model 650:

Zamboni is the leader in ice resurfacing technology and remains the overwhelming choice for ice arena operators. In the continuing legacy of its founder, Frank Zamboni, the Zamboni Company works to apply industrial science, proven performance, and future technologies to manufacture the best ice resurfacing machines for rinks and arenas throughout the world

BRANTFORD, ONTARIO, CANADA (April 10, 2015) – With years of testing and proven performance, the FastICE® system has shown its ability to improve ice quality and resurfacing efficiency. The Zamboni Company has acquired Ice Research, Inc. the inventor and manufacturer of the FastICE ice making system. Effective immediately, the FastICE system will be available as an option through the Zamboni Company for Zamboni® ice resurfacing machines.

Since its introduction in 2002, the FastICE system has been recognized as a game-changer in the ice making process. FastICE integrates a precision hydraulic spray unit which evenly distributes pressurized water onto the ice in fine droplets that freeze and bond quickly to the ice surface. Water flow is monitored by an onboard computer, allowing the operator to view live data for speed, spray thickness and water levels, as well as the arena’s humidity and temperatures of the ice surface, air, and water.

The system's pocket-sized data retriever captures all settings and conditions associated with the ice resurfacing operation and can be downloaded to a personal computer for analysis of ice conditions, operator performance and application trends.

FastICE has become an important asset to hockey teams, rink operators and ice arenas around the world. Feedback regarding and testing related to its use includes harder ice surfaces which are less prone to chipping and cracking than conventionally resurfaced ice. FastICE users report fewer cuts, ruts and less snow, resulting in a harder and faster ice sheet than was previously possible.

For over sixty years, the Zamboni Company has been the leader in ice resurfacing technology. In the continuing legacy of its founder, Frank J. Zamboni, the Zamboni Company works to apply industrial science, proven performance, and future technologies into the development and manufacture of its ice resurfacing machines for rinks and arenas throughout the world.
